Introduction:

Boeing Ireland Ltd is a Dublin-based EASA & UK-CAA Part 145 approved organization with approval to provide Line & Base Maintenance services on Boeing 737NG / MAX, 787, and 777 aircraft at London Gatwick. Due to the continued expansion, we are looking for experienced Aircraft Structures Mechanics to join our organization. Prospective candidates must be able to demonstrate at least six months of recent experience on Boeing 737NG / MAX, 787, and 777 aircraft.

The positions are shift-based roles to be based at our London Gatwick Hangar.
The roles will report to the Maintenance Manager – Production.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Base Maintenance & Modifications on customer aircraft
  • Ensure compliance with all procedures associated with the Base Maintenance & Modifications of customer aircraft.
  • Report all incidents and occurrences and ensure accurate record is entered into the Boeing safety management system.
  • Report any technical issues, discrepancies or other issues to the Lead Engineer.
  • Ensure all planned aircraft work is carried out as scheduled and liaise with Shift Leader and Production Planning to maximise our customers’ downtime.
  • Ensure all aircraft paperwork, technical logs, and work packs are completed accurately, within prescribed timescales and in conjunction with the Lead Engineer / LAE.
  • Undertake any reasonable activities in support of our maintenance operation, including working away from London Gatwick.

Work Authorisation:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorization to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labor sponsorship for any applicants.

Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.

Required Qualifications:

  • EASA / UK-CAA Part-66 Category A Licence (preferable) and have the ability to demonstrate at least 6 months recent experience on Boeing 737NG / MAX, 787 and 777 aircraft.
  • Have at least 5 years’ experience of working in a fast-paced Line or Base Maintenance environment.
  • Have completed a recognised Apprenticeship or formal training programme.
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience of aircraft Structures Maintenance, Repair or Modification
  • Be a team player who will grasp opportunities to exceed the expectations of internal and external customers.
  • Proven knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in-house systems.
  • Have prior experience of accessing on-line Boeing documents through myboeingfleet.com.
  • Experience in using AMOS is desirable.
  • Must be willing to work varying shifts depending on business need.
  • Previous experience on wide body and/or ETOPS aircraft is an advantage.
