Tasks

Your main tasks include, among others:

  • Independently coordinate contact from all customers assigned for all component related issues of base maintenance & special layovers
  • Coordinate business units within Lufthansa Technik to support customers during base maintenance, special layovers, and lease return checks
  • Maintain an internal and external performance Dialog
  • Consult customers on managing internal supply chain, give recommendations to improve customers’ maintenance schedule
  • Manage Lufthansa Technik supply chain to meet customer requirements during base maintenance, special layovers & lease return checks
  • Coordinating retrofit campaigns as well as component replacement schedules if they fall into heavy checks
  • Responsible for first escalation level for process-related issues

Requirements

The ideal Base Maintenance Coordinator must fulfill the following requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED desirable
  • College degree/vocational training desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree desirable
  • +2 years in Aircraft Maintenance / Material Supply & Coordination desirable
  • English required
  • German & Spanish desirable
  • Profound technical knowledge of aircraft systems, layovers, hard– & soft times as well as customer MPDs
  • Aircraft Component Business, Layovers, Material Supply, and Monitoring, Technical knowledge
  • SAP, MAXLRU, MAXevent
  • MS Office as a user
  • Responsible for budget, costs & revenue
  • Must possess a permit to work in the U.S.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
