Job Description
P&WC Customer Service Programs Team is currently looking for a Helicopter Program Director to lead a professional team to manage customer strategy, customer engineering as well as commercial products and services for the rotary-wing segment. This role is key in the delivery of strategic projects, and the definition of our program strategy to adapt to our customer’s expectations and market demand. In addition, this person will be responsible for building customer relationships, driving technical solutions, and representing the end customer and other external voices within the company.
Function Description
The Program Director reports to the Senior Program Director. Responsibilities include:
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of managers, who themselves lead teams of customer managers and customer engineers, to fulfill the aftermarket technical needs of the program as well as the contractual obligations of our service and maintenance agreements
- Ensure operator, OEM, and other industry relationships are maintained and enhanced at the appropriate level
- Drive resolution of technical and commercial customer issues in a timely and holistic fashion
- Provide input and guidance to engine shop visits and other forecasts to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Lead the coordination and presentation of internal reporting up to the senior executive level as part of internal governance
- Support financial deliverables and develop strategies to improve business performance

What you need to be successful:
- A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 15 years experience or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 12 years experience in one of the following disciplines: Engineering, Administration / Commerce, Aeronautical Maintenance, Business Management, Finance, International Management, Operations Management
- Be a self-starter who is resilient, resourceful, and comfortable with ambiguity
- Demonstrate strength in building relationships and trust with key stakeholders
- Exhibit a high degree of autonomy and ability to engage support when needed
- Possess strong communication skills with the ability to lead, persuade and empower to affect business transformations
- Have a passion for data-driven decision-making and analytics
- Demonstrate a high level of curiosity to identify and create new business opportunities in untapped areas.
- Be result-driven, with demonstrated ability to plan, organize and manage resources to meet objectives within defined time frames
- Be familiar with the helicopter business and have a good technical understanding of gas-turbine engines
