Job Description

Job Position Summary:

  • Manage a team of Operations controllers and ensure development plans are put in place, feedback sessions to improve the working and dynamics within the team.
  • Shall be accountable for execution of disruption management for the day of Ops, quantifying the irregular operations and number of guests impacted.
  • Shall take decisions in consultation with other stakeholders to reschedule /delay, rerouting, cancellation and change of equipment to meet company objectives.
  • Shall be responsible for co-ordination with all internal and external agencies to ensure smooth operations. Manage daily aircraft allocation with MCC, considering aircraft and crew qualifications, airport restrictions and any other degradation factors affecting operations.
  • Will be responsible to disseminate notifications to senior management team, on disruption recovery and contingency plans through Sr Manager IOCC.
  • In the event of an emergency, initiate action as per Company Ops Manual / Air Safety Manual and Corporate Crises Response Participate in crisis management situation and liaison with ERP.
  • Responsible for judicious allocation of duties of subordinates in his/her shift.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Sr. G.M. Flight Operations/Sr. Manager IOCC.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing day of ops functions.
  • Coordination with All IOCC stakeholders and GHAs.
  • Prepare and circulate contingency plans to all stakeholders during irregular operations.
  • Keep a watch on all stations, which may have operational restrictions.
  • Maintain a constant check on critical weather phenomenon in liaison with IMD, Flight Dispatch and station APM.
  • Following SOP and processes in accordance with the Regulatory requirement.
  • Responsible to send out broadcast notifications to senior management team, on disruption recovery and contingency plans during the shift
  • Keep a watch on any maintenance requirements MEL / CDL releases and their impact on other flights.
  • Actively participate in crisis management situation and liaison with ERP.
  • Ensure the adequate risk mitigation steps are implemented, in order to ascertain safety within the Functions during disruption handling.
  • Feedback to Sr. GM/ Sr Manager IOCC for any process revision in IOCC.

Position reports to: Sr Manager IOCC

Position supervises: IOCC Controllers

Work Location: Mumbai.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduation (University Degree)
  • Experience with an Airline OCC functions.

Skills and knowledge:

  • Knowledge of airline operations control systems.
  • Adequate knowledge of systems used by other stakeholders in IOCC.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and email software
