Ground Support Engineer

Job Description

Our small team of four people is looking for a dedicated team member to ensure the support to the Aircraft Engineers so we can maintain the entire SWISS and Edelweiss fleet.

Starting date:  June 01, 2022

Tasks

  • Ensuring all ground equipment within S/TM is maintained, controlled, and recorded correctly
  • Executes inspections and repairs on SWISS Ground Equipment according to the schedule available in the system AMOS and the respective manuals from Manufacture as per MOE and ProX
  • Performing regular checks on cars
  • Performing daily, weekly, and yearly checks on Ground Support Equipment as required
  • Inventory control of GSE, to ensure all data in AMOS is up to date
  • Ensuring that the rules and regulations of Occupational Safety & Health are followed at all times and that the personal protection equipment is available
  • Work closely together with all S/TM Departments, Line Engineers, Production Management, and external providers
  • Responsible for the oxygen/nitrogen bottles, organizing the replacement when needed
  • Acting in a professional and responsible manner at all times

Requirements

  • Successful completion of Mechanical apprenticeship or, min. 1-year practical experience within a Technical field (Warehouse / Logistics / Mechanics)
  • Good computer knowledge / Word / Outlook. AMOS preferred
  • Ability to work within a team but also independently
  • Cat B’s driving license is mandatory
  • Good English / German language skills, spoken & written
  • Portraying a positive, flexible approach towards performing day-to-day business for the areas of responsibility
  • Experience within Aviation beneficial
  • Willingness to work various Shifts 24/7
