Air New Zealand is entering an exciting new stage as we work towards re-building a thriving airline. To support this we have two permanent opportunities to join our team as a Maintenance Operation Centre (MOC) Planning Engineer based in Auckland.
MOC-Planning is responsible for the planning and scheduling of all maintenance lower than ‘C’ check for the A320/21 fleets, and lower than ‘A’ check for the 787 & 777 fleets. This maintenance is to be scheduled on transits, layovers, overnight maintenance slots and hangar special visits. These maintenance opportunities could be in New Zealand or at our overseas ports.
You will be an integral part of the day of operations team, working closely with MOC Technical, Day of Operations Planning, and the Maintenance Organisations (Line stations and Hangar Maintenance teams).
This is a dynamic role where plans can change rapidly which means that you will need to be calm, organised and able to respond to change quickly.
You will be working with our team on a “4-on-4-off” shift pattern, located in the Operations Centre at the Airport Campus.

To be successful within in this role you will ideally have:
- Aircraft Maintenance experience
- Customer focus
- SAP and Microsoft Office Experience
- An understanding of the business functions of Technical Operations
- Sound Communications, both written and verbal.
- Familiar with regulatory and Air NZ company requirements.
- Planning experience in Engineering or Aircraft Maintenance organisations
